Scrooge and Marley's
Christmas Eve 1843, London. Ebenezer Scrooge sits alone at his desk. His withered old form is permanently hunched from years of sitting there, in the exact same chair no less. Counting and recounting various coins and pence, keeping logs of his lendings and those who owe. It was all that brought him happiness, at least as much as he could feel. A wasted existence, old Scrooge was, yet he himself hadn't much time to ponder it. With every tick of the clock, another loan was closer to pay. Marley may have passed on, but his spirit was kept alive and poor with every coin held between his Scrooge's bony old fingers.
